A dress that carries her face and her family’s story
Three tiers of champagne and ivory satin open like petals, edged in sage green scallops and embroidered with lily of the valley, the flower of returning happiness. Flutter sleeves frame her shoulders; a satin sash, embroidered with the same vine, circles her waist. Over her heart sits the portrait: a cartoon of your daughter, or of the sisters holding hands, generated from the photograph you send us and embroidered in fine thread, so that she wears herself.
The secret lives underneath. Printed into the fabric beneath the embroidery, hidden from everyone but your family, is the image you choose: the wedding photograph, the newlyweds, the grandparents, the family together, and if you wish, the story of how your family came to be, or the love story of the couple whose wedding she is walking in. One day she will lift the embroidery, find the picture, read the words, and understand where she comes from.
How it works
Upload her photograph right here when you order. After your order, we send you a short measurement form and ask for the family image and the story you would like to include. We generate the cartoon portrait for your approval, embroider it, print the image and story into the fabric, and assemble the dress.
